So everybody put your best suit or dress on
Let’s make believe that we are wealthy for just this once
Lighting firecrackers off on the front lawn
As thirty dialogues bleed into one
I wish the world was flat like the old days
And I could travel just by folding a map
No more airplanes or speed trains or freeways
There’d be no distance that could hold us back
Even though Christmas is over for this year, I still wanted to share this really awesome version of Blue Christmas. One of my favorite daily reads, Skunkboy Creatures, recorded this song with her husband. Their two-person band is called Gift Horse. I just love it!
I’m going to wrap up the family-themed Tuesdays with my mom! Here they are!
Lindsey, I didn’t forget about you! Remember the dance we made up to the first one? Yikes. Haha!
Cadi, this one is for you! There are a million others I could have easily put here, too!
A day late is okay, right? I always get into a slump with this Tuesday blog feature so I thought I’d try something new. For the next few weeks I’ll pick a family member and feature 3 songs that remind me of them every time I hear them. Most of them will be blasts from the past. This week’s makes me think of ripped jeans and flannel shirts.
